This article introduces the definition of concurrent engineering. The cost of the whole life cycle of commercial aircraft was analyzed, and the application of concurrent engineering in China and abroad was introduced. Combined with the development characteristics of commercial aircraft, the method of concurrent engineering based on the definition of maturity degree is studied. With the application of concurrent engineering, the development cycle was shortened and the development cost was reduced.
