This article dissertate the strength requirements research of civil transport pylon design, especially on the following aspects: pylon preliminary design loads, FBO loads calculation requirements, mean of compliance of uncontained engine rotor failure and residual strength evaluation requirement of discrete source damage tolerance. There are some concrete values and illustration in this article and it’s guidable for pylon strength evaluation.
